Micheline has lived in Bozeman since 1990 and is co-owner of Greenspace Landscaping, Inc. She has a degree in English literature from Syracuse University and a degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture from Montana State University. Her expertise includes Landscape Design for commercial and residential projects, Project Management and Estimating. Greenspace has grown rapidly since its beginning in 1994 and Micheline’s role in the company has developed into overseeing daily operations of the business. Her expertise in business and personnel management has been integral to the success of Greenspace. She is proud of Greenspace and its commitment to providing quality service and beautiful outdoor living spaces. Prior to moving to Bozeman, Micheline grew up in Bermuda, Guyana, Kenya and England where she kindled her passion for travel and culture. Micheline is an active participant in community organizations and loves to recreate in Montana’s natural beauty. She enjoys visiting undiscovered parts of the world, gardening (of course), cross country skiing and has an insatiable appetite for reading.
Bill has been in the landscaping industry for 30 years. He owned and operated a lawn and landscape business while growing up on Long Island, New York and has used all of his experience to build Greenspace Landscaping, Inc. Bill has a degree in Fisheries Biology from the Environmental School of Forestry in Syracuse, New York. He brings a wealth of knowledge to Greenspace concentrating his time in Commercial bidding, Hardscape Design and Project Management. His specialty is working with natural stone to create amazing patios, walls, and living spaces. Although he spends a lot of time managing the company, he also loves to be hands on and be involved with the installation part of projects. Bill also owns an architectural salvage business where he reclaims items such as granite, old barns, stone foundations, gates, old farm equipment and many other items that he incorporates into the landscapes he builds or sells to the public. He uses these reclaimed materials in creative ways to enhance the unique qualities of many Greenspace Projects. He spends his holidays exploring different parts of the world and fly fishing the flats.
Cody Cavanaugh is the General Manager at Greenspace which means he takes care of everything and everyone as well as manages landscape and irrigation projects. He studied Architecture and Landscape Design at Montana State University. Cody has 14 years of Landscape, Irrigation and Lawn Care experience in Gallatin County, Silver Bow County, Paradise Valley, Big Sky area, as well as the Yellowstone Club. He enjoys creating landscapes and their irrigation systems that incorporate elements of what he sees in nature; organic lines, layering textures and color, and healthy and diverse habitats. Cody can usually be found at the office or checking up on our current projects and clients. On his off days he is usually enjoying any number of recreational activities in the wonderful mountains, rivers, and lakes of Montana.
Karl’s interest in horticulture began in his teens mowing grass and watering plants at his hometown bank in Kansas. He attended Kansas State University majoring in Turf Grass Management. Karl has 30+ years in horticulture working in various roles, but most notably as the Grounds Supervisor for 13 years at a community college in Wyoming and operating his own landscaping company. One of his landscape designs was published in Home magazine. Karl was raised around horses and always enjoyed visiting the Rocky Mountains. Those 2 passions came together 22 years ago when he was a student in the horse packing course from NOLS in Wyoming. Karl is still horse packing and finds his peace riding in the back country on one of his 3 horses.
Billy Ferguson joined Greenspace in 2013 and is the Hardscape Manager. His experience in all aspects of the green industry enables him to work in the hardscape, planting and maintenance side of the business. His understanding of both ends of a project helps create a bridge of communication with varying crews, helps in identifying long term solutions to problem areas and allows for follow through of keeping a property beautiful for many years. His specialty is hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls and stairs. He loves hunting fishing, camping, anything and everything outdoors.
Megan joined the Greenspace team in the spring of 2016, transplanting years of East coast gardening experience to Montana. After graduating from Bard College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political and Middle Eastern Studies, she returned to Maine to complete an apprenticeship on a Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Association (MOFGA) accredited farm. There, she learned how to make plants thrive using organic and biodynamic practices, and work a 14-hour day. Craving more flowers and creative expression, she moved on to work for such places as the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Snug Harbor Farm. Megan is deeply passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces, engaging with customers about their gardens, and working on her farmer’s tan. In her spare time, Megan enjoys the activities her Nana taught her- making strawberry ice cream, fiber and fabric arts, and (of course) gardening.
Brandon Eris brings his many years of experience to the position as the Greenspace Lawn Services Manager. Hi priority is to provide quality and timely service and his focus is to develop his lawn team to be proud of their work and strive to be their best. This positively impacts our customers experience by exceeding customer expectations. On his free time he enjoys fishing, football, hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Erin grew up on the central coast of California where she developed a love for riding and training horses, camping and growing plants. After she traveled to Montana to compete in an international horse show in Kalispell, she knew she'd be back to live there some day. In 2012, she moved to Bozeman to achieve a double degree from MSU in Sustainable Crop Production and Landscape Design with a minor in Environmental Horticulture. She has a passion for connecting people to their food sources, whether it be through the community or in their own backyards. Her love for the wilderness, edible plants, art and music shines through in the the landscapes she designs.
Matt was born and raised in Great Falls and moved to Bozeman in the spring of 2008 after graduating from the University of Montana. He has been working with Greenspace since 2011. He oversees the Landscape division, meeting with clients, managing crews, quality control and day to day landscape operations. He has an eye for detail and enjoys being outside, working with his hands and seeing projects blossom into beautiful landscapes. On his down time he travels the world and loves to seek out exotic destinations.
Mavis is the newest addition to our furry family! With those stunning sapphire blue eyes , Mavis seems to get away with just about anything! Already proficient at digging holes (in our garden) and chewing up irrigation pipes and select shrubs....we think she was born with a green thumb (or paw)! Mavis is so full of energy and has a heart of gold! She loves to hike and is excited to learn how to fish with her dad!
Flora is the boss. Calm, cool and collected, she secretly runs the show at Greenspace with wisdom and grace, Her favorite place to relax is on the office deck where she greets everyone who visits with a smile. She has a weak spot for any type of treat and is always ready for an adventure, especially cross country skiing!
Pinga brings energy and laughter to everyone he meets and is ready to run through the nursery at any opportunity! Pinga herds the crew and makes sure everyone is in order. He is a full body wiggler and loves to get his belly rubbed! His favorite part of the day…..exercising in the great Montana outdoors where every day is a beautiful day!
We may be partial but we think Esther is superstar gorgeous! She is a crew member in training and especially loves wildflower fields of color since she was born in the spring! Esther is a real sweetheart and loves everyone she meets! She takes full advantage of all hugs offered to her and is a true "Velcro" dog... keeping as close to her mom and dad as possible.
